Naturi Naughton stars as Brenda, the beautiful African American Playboy Bunny with big aspirations, in NBC's provocative drama "The Playboy Club."
Naughton is perhaps best known for her portrayal of rapper Lil' Kim in "Notorious," which chronicled the life of the late Notorious B.I.G. and garnered her rave reviews. Additional big screen credits include lead roles in "The Lottery Ticket" opposite Ice Cube and Bow Wow, the dance film "Fame," and a supporting role in the independent film "Highland Park."
Born and raised in East Orange, New Jersey, Naughton started singing in the choir at New Hope Baptist Church when she was just five years old. By the time she was 14, her career shifted from a local talent to a professional recording artist when she became a member of girl band 3LW. The group scored a platinum-selling album and toured nationwide with Destiny's Child and N'SYNC.
In 2006 she made her Broadway debut in "Hairspray" playing the character of Little Inez, a role she performed for over two years.
Naughton continues to work on her own music and resides in Los Angeles and New York.
