Jesse L. Martin

Philip Maidstone

Jesse L. Martin is probably best known for his role as passionate Detective Edward Green in NBC's "Law & Order." However, he has completed a number of TV, film and theatre roles.

Martin earned critical acclaim for his recurring role on Ally McBeal as Ally's boyfriend, Dr. Greg Butters. Additional television credits include a guest starring role as a disenfranchised alien on "The X-Files," a series regular on the series "413 Hope Street," and a guest-starring role on the Wolf Films/Studios USA series "New York Undercover."

In 2005, Martin reprised his role of Tom in the film adaptation of award-winning musical "Rent," having originated the role in the off-Broadway production at the New York Theatre Workshop and carried it through to the Broadway production.

In addition, Martin's film credits include "Season of Youth," "Restaurant," and "The Cake Eaters." Martin will next be seen in the feature films "Peter and Vandy" and "Buffalo Bushido."

Philip Maidstone

Philip is Teddy's best friend and business partner and together they run Maidstone-Rist, a company that makes money by acquiring natural resources throughout the world. While Teddy likes the limelight that goes with running a highly successful company and enjoys jetting around the world on crazy missions, Philip is happy to work behind the scenes and remains the calming, grounded influence that Teddy needs.
