Eva Longoria Parker is perhaps best known for her role as Gabrielle Solis on ABC's "Desperate Housewives." After graduating from Texas A&M University-Kingsville with a degree in kinesiology, she moved to Los Angeles where she found early roles on "General Hospital," "The Bold and the Beautiful," and "Beverly Hills, 90210." Eva went on to star as Isabella on "The Young and the Restless" and as Det. Gloria Duran in Dick Wolf's "L.A. Dragnet"; she shot to worldwide fame in 2004 with the smash success of "Desperate Housewives."
She has also starred in several feature films, including 2006's "The Sentinel" with Michael Douglas and Kiefer Sutherland. She is a Golden Globe nominee, Screen Actors Guild Award winner, People's Choice Award winner, Bambi Award winner, and ALMA Award winner. She is well known for her philanthropy and commitment to Latino causes; in 2006 she founded Eva's Heroes, a charity helping developmentally disabled children. She is married to San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker.
