Detective Sergeant Brian Becker
Anthony Lemke plays Detective Sergeant Brian Becker, Charlie's boss in ''The Listener.''
A graduate of the University of Waterloo Theatre program, Lemke's break into television was a lead role in the hit sci-fi mini-series ''Robocop: Prime Directives,'' followed closely thereafter by his first series regular role as the swashbuckling Captain Grisham on the comic-action series ''Queen of Swords.'' Following a number of guest star appearances on various sci-fi/fantasy series and lead roles in ''Haven't we Met Before'' opposite Nicollette Sheridan and the Canadian indie flick ''The Pedestrian,'' Lemke enrolled in the renowned joint common and civil law program at McGill University Faculty of Law in Montreal.
While at law school, Lemke joined the cast of the tennis dramedy ''15/Love'' as the affable Coach Brock; played Teri Polo's partner in ''Legacy of Fear''; starred as Amanda Detmer's scheming husband in ''Proof of Lies''; and played Charles, the lecherous photographer, on the CBC comedy series ''Rumours.'' He also wrote and produced his first short film, ''One Last Dance,'' starring Caroline Dhavernas. During his final year of law school, Lemke had the privilege of working for one of Canada's top corporate law firms in anticipation of his articles. He graduated with great distinction in 2007.
Lemke's recent work includes a supporting role in NBC's epic action-adventure mini-series ''The Last Templar'' starring Mira Sorvino and based on Raymond Khoury's best-selling novel of the same name; a starring role opposite Lea Thompson in the Gemini-nominated TV movie ''A Life Interrupted,'' and the lead in TMN's ''Reverse Angle'' opposite Emanuelle Vaugier. Fluent in French, Lemke also recently joined the cast of the Gémeaux award-winning comedy ''Les Hauts et les Bas de Sophie Paquin'' as David Rothstein, Sophie's new main squeeze.
A native of Ottawa, Lemke currently resides in Montreal with his wife and kids.
