Max Malini is a master showman, magician, illusionist and escape artist, as well as a world-class thief. He is a perfectionist, proud of the fact that he has broken 92 bones in pursuit of the perfect illusion. Of indeterminate age, Max has pursued adventures aplenty to fill several lifetimes.
As leader of the Carnival of Crime, Max executes profitable (and illegal) capers with the help of right-hand strongman Rollo, as well as mentalist Ruvi and acrobat and animal trainer Raia. Max prides himself on being a mysterious figure and reveals few details about himself to anyone. While little is known about Max, he seems to have knowledge of experience with anything and everything.
