A career police officer with the Palm City Police Department, Marty Voyt has risen up through the ranks to become a detective. Throughout his time with the PCPD, he was partnered with his best friend, Vince Faraday. Marty and Vince shared a great deal in common, including their devotion to family. Marty and his wife Susan have two young children.
Marty was among the first of Palm City's police officers to leave the department and join ARK Corporation. He wanted to get in on the ground floor to make a name for himself and impress ARK's CEO, Peter Fleming. Marty succeeded, becoming Fleming's right-hand man, at a cost he didn't count on.
After contributing to what he believes was Vince's death, Marty's caught between a rock and a hard place. Wracked with guilt, Marty would like to be able to help Vince's widow Dana and son Trip, but Fleming's continuing demands on him conflict with that desire.
