"Use your food journal to keep track of what triggers you to overeat-negative emotions, stress, a celebration, or being with certain people. Identifying these trigger situations will help you put a stop to them."
--Bob Harper, fitness trainer

"I love writing in the journal because it made my thoughts concrete. Every week after I weigh-in I rush to look at the graphs to see my progress and show my family how I am doing." Johnna Zeigler, Tualatin, OR
As you lose the weight, your improved Body Mass Index (BMI) numbers will be recorded and displayed for you as well.
Keep in mind, however, that weight is just one measurement of success. Also consider how much energy you have, if your appearance is changing, or if your jeans fit better!
Something to Think About
Staying aware of your feelings-good and bad-is also an invaluable tool to monitor what's often behind the urge to overeat.
We provide an online journal where you can record your challenges and your successes. You can share your journal musings with the club community (if you think it would help or inspire someone else; or even find someone to validate your feelings) or keep your thoughts strictly private.
