The third week of the BL is off to a great start... Face-Off Week! Dang, this season rocks! I want in on these challenges.
Ali brought the contestants into what is some people's worst enemy, the Chinese buffet. I know Jeremy loves it; I used to be right there with you. So this temptation represented how often America gorges themselves on unhealthy foods, and some of America's favorites includes the infamous Chinese buffet. Ali says there are more than 40,000 of these restaurants! That's more than most fast food chains combined - crazy!
So the rules of the temptation were to eat to take control of the game, earn a two- pound advantage and the chance to put people up against each other in the face-off weigh-in. Awesome!!! The Red Team was faced with the temptation first, and they chose not to eat. I know from experience that Dolvett doesn't like anyone to eat in a temptation, but this could have been big. Cassandra isn't on D's team, so let the games begin. The Black Team ate, and Cassandra took out two fortune cookies - smart move. Two cookies - 60 calories - your future is paved with victory in an upcoming battle. Dang, I should write fortunes.
The drama was fierce this week, with Conda and Cassandra going at it. Cassandra got to set up who went against who for the face-offs, and she totally set her grandma up for annihilation. But just when you thought we were all done with the drama, Joe pulled a bonehead move and quit. I couldn't believe he would flush this opportunity down the toilet. This was so dumb, especially when there are a million people who would have jumped at the chance to be at the ranch. How about the Aqua Team fighting to get back there! What a wimp!!! Well congrats to Nancy; she wins the face-off, FINISH HIM... FLAWLESS VICTORY.
I loved all the competition and the face-off was so awesome; it made the challenge way more fun. The challenge looked like a huge game of mousetrap and I couldn't wait to see what was in the ice block. These teams fought to the finish and the Red Team won again - with one of the best prizes ever - video chats... And then the house became all mushy when everyone gave their prizes to whoever they thought needed it more. If you thought this would create less drama, you were mistaken, 'cause the good vibes didn't last long. The Last-Chance Workout was filled with face-offs and I was pumped... So now Jess and I are off to hit the gym and face off on the treadmill. Face-off is so cool. You're going down, Jess! Hehehe. Psych, she's probably going to kick my butt like I hope Red Team does to Black.
Face-off weigh-in matchups were awesome. Jeremy pulled a double digit to crush Lauren. Emily weighed in and was disappointed with her number, and Bob let her have it. Feeling sorry for yourself is always a weigh-in killer. Then it was all up to the matchup we'd been waiting for, Conda vs. Cassandra. This matchup was laced with drama all week, and it was time to put up or shut up. Cassandra put up! She crushed Conda... I guess Conda should have been working out instead of talking so much stuff. Conda, you can't talk crap unless you can back it up. Man, I love weigh-ins. Cassandra insured the weigh-in victory for the Black Team and sent the Red Team to elimination.
At elimination, Nancy and wrestler Kim decided to try to take one another out. Then to Lauren's surprise, the rest of the team (except Santa) sent her packing! Looks like the team was trying to send someone home who wasn't pulling the numbers for the good of the team. That's the name of the game. I wish you luck, Lauren; use this as motivation to reel in that 100K!
Peace, Health and Aloha,
Always your favorite original Red Team member,
Ramon
