What were the advantages and disadvantages of working with a partner?
Trent: For me, it was all an advantage. I got to spend some great time with a former teammate. We have known each other for over 20 years now. It was a great opportunity to start this journey with him and I am thankful he called me to do this audition with him. It's all advantages working together on this journey as teammates, again. It's ironic to be back in training together, only we weren't trying to get bigger, like when we played football, but instead, we are training to get healthy. Only disadvantage would be to say good-bye when I left.
How did your experience bring you and your partner closer?
Trent: We have known each other for 20 years, but don't see each other as often as we would like. So, it was like the old days when we were living under the same roof, training together, preparing meals together, unwinding at the end of the day and just talking.
What will you miss most about the campus?
Trent: I am going to miss Bob. The last couple of weeks, we developed the Blue team and I look at those guys as good friends of mine. We built a great relationship. I will miss Bob and his words of inspiration and working out with the guys.
What tips did the trainers give you?
Trent: Know what you put in your body. Count your calories. The biggest thing for me was I was always training to get bigger when I played football, now it's different. I had to start thinking of what I would put in my body. It definitely got my juices flowing, I was happy to be training again. Bob taught me how to count calories and how to maximize my workouts with what I was eating.
