JAY'S PARTING THOUGHTS

What were the advantages and disadvantages of being paired up with your partner?
The advantages are you have a support system built-in. Past seasons, contestants didn't have that. After arriving to the ranch, you go through a pretty emotional withdrawal. It was great having somebody here that you know and that you can relate to on that emotional level. The disadvantage of having somebody here is you don't reach out as much as you would if you were here alone. You don't feel the urge to forge friendships right away.

How did it bring you two closer?
Going through this process with my brother was amazing. I have gone through this experience of a lifetime with not only my biggest brother, but somebody who I can call my best friend. We can look back at this entire experience together.

What will you miss most about the campus?
I am going to miss the camaraderie. There were more good times than bad times on the show. I will miss the good times the most.

What are some tips the trainers gave you?
The trainers reminded me that when I am out in the real world, to watch what I put in my body and to ask if what I am about to eat is worth it. Bob taught me that I can indulge a little, but that just means I have to return to the gym later on to burn it off.
