JACKIE'S PARTING THOUGHTS


What were some of the advantages or disadvantages of being paired with a partner?
I really don't know if there were any disadvantages, because I just thought of it as an advantage for me. My partner was a guy, so he carried pounds very well in our weight loss and it's also fun to have somebody around to always share everything with and talk about all of my new experiences with.

How did the show bring you two closer?
My son and I are very close, we always have been, so I don't know if it brought us closer, it just redirected our relationship. Because in a lot of ways, we were each other's support with being overweight and we formed a support group by being overweight and now we have a support group with not being overweight.

What will you miss most about the campus?
I will miss the time we were given to workout and focus on my goals. When I go home, I won't be able to find that much time to work on achieving my goals; it will be a little longer process.

What were some of the tips the trainers gave you?
I learned about the balance of food and exercising and the need of food in order to achieve the maximum in exercise.
