How was your experience on the campus?
My experience was everything I could have possibly hoped for. I have no choice words for it. I was able to do more in the six weeks that I was there than I could ever imagine possibly doing on my own with the help of my trainers, teammates, and competitors, I was able to lose weight. My time on the campus was definitely worth it and I have no ill feelings about the time spent there.
Will you be keeping in touch with anybody from the campus?
I definitely will be keeping in touch with people I met on the campus, from competitors to trainers to production. Everyone here has been remarkable.
What will you miss most about the campus?
I am going to miss everything about the campus. The people that voted me off, the trainers, the campus itself, everything was wonderful, from the production staff on. I genuinely appreciate the time I had here and am thankful for the opportunity and am thankful to have the opportunity that others would have killed for. I was luckily enough to be graced with it.
What tips did the trainers give you?
The tips I received were valuable. Specifically, the target was towards diet and the effect diet has towards weight loss. The importance of eating and the mentality that you have to eat to lose. If your body isn't fed enough, it's not going to be able to lose weight. You need to eat to provide your body energy. It's a work in progress. I also learned the importance of training specific muscle groups. I learned how the body really works and how the muscles work together.
Will you be watching from home?
I definitely will be watching. It's really surreal with the idea of being on the fall line-up for NBC, I am just a boy from Kansas. The feeling that I am going to be on TV is just indescribable and maybe I can help somebody in the same situation to conquer their fears, to be able to lose weight. It's an incredible feeling. I hope my story and testimony can help somebody in the future.
