How was your experience on the campus?
Overall, I had a very positive experience. Towards the end, there was a lot of game play and stuff and I may have been a victim to that and might have gotten eaten up by some of it. Overall, I gained a lot of knowledge. I have nothing to do now but gain the rest of my life back. I feel very good about everything that I did.
What tips did the trainers give you?
You know Kim is very simple. She set me up for real life in a lot of ways. We can't train for six hours a day when we go home, so she really taught the players different ways to train once they get home, both in and out of the gym. She taught us how to maximize our cardio and how to maximize our strength training. She made us very aware of what we are doing. Kim was really good at teaching me how to make nutrition easier and quicker for you, so you can eat healthy on the go. And Kim never allowed me to quit or say that "I can't" and that's big for me. She taught me to focus on the task at hand and get things done.
What will you miss most from the campus?
I'll miss the people the most. Even though there was some game playing, there are really some good people at the house. Not that many places you can find 18 individuals that all have common problems and all need help and embrace that with open hearts and open minds and open arms to receive help with an opportunity like this. It's amazing that people from all walks of life and different areas of the country.
Will you be keeping in touch with anybody from the show?
Well, we can't do that for a while. But, I will definitely keep in touch with my trainer, Kim.
Will you be watching the show from home?
Absolutely! I am excited about watching and it's still a little surreal to me that I am going to be on television. I will definitely be watching from home.
