If your children eat a well-balanced diet, loaded with whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables, lean protein, dairy and healthy fats, you shouldn't need to supplement with a vitamin. Not all children eat this way however. If you have concerns regarding your child's diet, talk to your physician or a registered dietitian. They can advise you whether or not an age-appropriate supplement is warranted.
