Fresh Oranges with Jack Daniels and Yogurt
4 tablespoons butter
1/3 cup of sugar
6 oranges, peeled and separated into segments, juice reserved
1/4 cup Whiskey
Pinch of salt
1-1/3 cups of vanilla yogurt
1. Heat a large sauté pan over high heat until smoking. Add the butter, sugar and reserved orange juice. Bring to a boil and boil to reduce until slightly syrupy, about 1-1/2 minutes.
2. Turn off the heat and stir in the whiskey. Add the orange segments to the pan, season with the salt, and toss gently to coat.
3. Divide the orange mixture among four bowls and top each bowl and 1/3 cup of the yogurt. Serve.
