At 26 years old, Rob Guiry says, "I always wanted to get healthy, but didn't feel that I could." Now at 483 pounds, he says, "I am ready to get it done!" Guiry was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised with two younger siblings in New Jersey. He played football in high school and also participated in soccer, wrestling and basketball. After high school, Guiry discovered rugby and fell in love with the sport. While playing rugby at Western New England University, Guiry earned a degree in sports management and an MBA with a focus in leadership. He has struggled with weight his whole life. Stress, the mentality that "bigger was better" for sports and a more sedentary life after he stopped being an athlete all played a role as well. With a bright future ahead and a job he loves coaching rugby, Guiry says it's the perfect time to lose weight, and he looks forward to dating more, playing rugby, biking, skydiving, going on roller coasters and participating in Tough Mudders.
