Nicole "Nikki" Davis says she was always big in weight and height, reaching six feet tall by the age of 14. She grew up in Northridge, California with a younger brother and two very athletic parents - a mother who was an Olympian in the high jump and a father who was a professional basketball player in Mexico. In high school, she was active in basketball, softball and track and field, but when she tore her ACL, MCL and meniscus at age 16, her basketball and softball careers came to a halt. Now 26 years old and weighing 280 pounds, Nikki says her biggest motivation for losing weight is to have children, as she and her husband are eager to start a family. She also hopes her journey will help motivate others who might be struggling with weight issues. In addition, she wants to be more active with her husband and be able to wear a bikini (or any bathing suit), something she hasn't done since she was 16 years old. Nikki says, "Being a former athlete, I know I have the drive and competitive nature to do well on this journey."
