Lauren Lee's biggest motivation for trying out for The Biggest Loser was to help her mom, but deep down, she knew she needed to get healthy as well. Lauren was born in Washington, D.C. and raised with two older siblings in Poolesville, Maryland, where she still resides. She gained weight in her late elementary school years, and though she lost some weight in high school, she put it all back on and more in college. Lauren's weight held her back, causing her to say "no" to dates, dances and other college experiences because she couldn't find anything to wear or that fit her. She received a bachelor's degree in adult fitness from Marshall University and a master's degree in exercise science with an emphasis on cardiac rehabilitation. Now, at 26 years old and 246 pounds, she has all the knowledge she needs to lose weight but is overwhelmed just knowing where and how to start. Lauren looks forward to being active with her family, running a marathon and hang gliding once she gets in shape.
