Jeremy Britt considers losing weight his "last hurdle" to becoming healthy, confident and ready to start pursuing a relationship. At 22 years old and 389 pounds, Jeremy has several overweight family members, and his grandmother passed away from weight-related health issues. He grew up with two older sisters in Rockford, Michigan and says he has always been overweight, but became even heavier after high school when his activity level dropped. The only sport he played was golf, and that provided little exercise since he always used a cart. He knew he had to make a change when he declined a friend's invitation to go to the beach because he didn't want to be seen without a shirt. Realizing that the weight was holding him back from doing things he wanted to do in life, he went to a Biggest Loser open casting call a week later. Jeremy looks forward to getting in shape so he can play full court basketball with friends, go golfing without using a golf cart and go to the beach without wearing his shirt in the water.
