Adrian Dortch was born and raised in Evanston, Illinois with his older sister, Daphne, and he studied music and business at Columbia College in Chicago. He was thin and active as a young child, but began putting on weight at age 10, and at one point as an adult, his weight climbed as high as 420 pounds. He and his wife have two children and one on the way, but they tragically lost their first child not long after she was born prematurely at just six months. Now, at 34 years old, Adrian weighs 370 pounds. He's a performing artist and music producer who has been a background vocalist for musical artists like Seal, David Foster and Paul Anka, and he also sang backup for Oprah Winfrey when she performed her show's theme song one season. Adrian has run for public office in his local government and continues to effect change in the lives of youth and their families through his non-profit organization. Once he loses the weight, he looks forward to taking his wife on a long-awaited tropical honeymoon where he can take his shirt off without feeling embarrassed, riding roller coasters and having more energy to play with his children.
