Through Lou's lifelong commitment to heath and fitness and having won two consecutive Mr. Universe titles, he's always been aware of the importance of a healthy, fully functioning body and muscular system and has been unrelenting in his desire to lend a hand to people with neuromuscular disease in search of a cure. His support has taken the form of generous donations and participation for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, which is a health agency dedicated to curing muscular dystrophy, ALS and related diseases by funding worldwide research. The Association also provides comprehensive health care and support services, advocacy and education.
