La Toya Jackson was born into America’s royal family of music. Jackson made her debut at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas tap dancing and singing with her brothers, The Jackson Five. A true Renaissance woman, she has emerged as a successful entertainer, Grammy-nominated writer, two-time best-selling author, entrepreneur, television star and international icon. She has performed in more than 90 countries, and in addition to her music successes, Jackson penned her first book in 1991, "La Toya: Growing Up in the Jackson Family," which sold over a million copies as number two on the New York Times' best seller list. The consummate philanthropist, Jackson dedicates herself to a number of causes stemming from both her own experiences and the continuation of causes her beloved brother Michael initiated. One of their common charities is AIDS Project Los Angeles, and in 2009, "Home" was released in Michael's memory with all proceeds going to APLA. Due to her personal experience with abuse, Jackson is also focused on battered women’s shelters. Television appearances include “Armed & Famous” on CBS, Britain's “Celebrity Big Brother” and NBC’s “The Celebrity Apprentice.” She was the only Apprentice contestant to ever fight her way into being re-hired after being fired by Mr. Trump.

In 2011, Jackson published her explosive memoir, "Starting Over." In an account that sent shockwaves around the globe, Jackson shed new light on the dynamic of the Jackson family and the intrigue that surrounds them. She also shares her journey to hell and back at the hands of her former manager and husband, Jack Gordon, and divulges some of the most painful episodes of her life with an open heart and complete honesty. Her first EP release in over 20 years features songs inspired by incidents written about in the book. The title track, also named “Starting Over,” is an inspirational anthem about empowerment and overcoming obstacles.

Jackson is representing the charity organization National Network to End Domestic Violence.
