ITEM (if you can call it that)! Hot UK/US director Derek Wills' adaptation of "My Fair Lady" plows ahead and yAAAAAAwnAFDSPLGJG';LSDAG, sorry, I fell asleep while I was typing that and my head hit the keyboard. It's not Wills' fault - he is SUCH a hot talent - but I cannot WAIT for him to stop dusting off moldy oldies and start working on - wait for it - ORIGINAL MATERIAL! And I know I'm not alone in this.

THIS JUST IN! MFL's future is currently in question, as it's backed by the legendary Rand Producing Corp., aka Jerry and Eileen Rand, aka a couple who (my sources tell me) just filed for DIVORCE. No one seems to know yet how this will affect the production. But we live in hope - my sources tell also me MIZ Rand has been chomping at the bit to start producing SOLO. And even better, word is she's keen on the "Heaven on Earth" team, Julia Houston and Tom Leavitt. Leavitt and Houston have been on a "break" for a while (*cough* TOO LONG *cough*) now, to focus on their personal lives (how dare they!). But they'll be back. I know they have at least one more show in them. Or a dozen.

ITEM! Straight from under the dressing room door... Heaven on Earth's chorus, *ahem* ensemble vet Ivy Lynn just received the GYPSY ROBE this weekend. For all of you newbies out there who have never been in a Broadway chorus, *ahem* ensemble, the Gypsy Robe is a coveted and, ah, vintage garment that gets passed from show to show and awarded to the chorus ahem ensemble girl with the most shows under her belt. The fabulous Lynn's been in the ensemble for almost 10 years now. (And I've seen every one! God, I feel old!) Seriously, Lynn's a solid ensemble vet with a showbiz pedigree (her mom is the legendary Leigh Conroy) and - totally unfairly - she's never broken out in a big way. Does she even want to? Well, rumor has it she's gunning for a leap into the footlights (to mix about 15 metaphors) - but can this Broadway baby play ball in the major leagues with the major leads? Or is she just destined for the bleachers! SURVEY SAYS... we'll just have to wait and find out! If it was up to me, she'd be the star of everything from avant-garde German performance art to "The Book of Mormon," but I ain't callin' the shots!
