First time doing choreography. First time on individual mics. First time in matching wardrobe. Oh, and um, also, FIRST TIME SINGING ON NATIONAL TELEVISION!
We are so honored to be here, sharing the stage with all of these talented groups. I feel like we're going to learn a WHOLE lot during this process.
'Feels Like Home' has a lot of meaning in our group - the song itself, but also it's importance in the timeline of our individual Deltones experience. We originally sang it back in 2009 as Jess's Senior Song (look it up on youtube!). The Senior Song issacred; it's the last moment a graduating senior has on stage with the 'Tones and it's usually only sung once before being added to the Deltones archive. But when searching for our "signature song," this seemed the most fitting. And Jess sure knows how to sing it doesn't she?

The Judges picked up on the closeness of our group and I have to say, they hit it right on the nose. When we sing, we sing with and for each other. It really doesn't matter - but it kinda does in this case :) - who's watching or not. Magical moments and mistakes alike. There were some ups and downs this week - arrangement changes, adjusting to the new schedule, etc, but I am SO proud of the Deltones for coming through like we did. Definitely a learning experience to say the least...
And to Soul'd Out and Massiah's Men, we'll be missing you. I'm positive that amazing things will be coming your way. Thanks for the inspiration!
Until next time my friends,
DFTG
