Sabina Akhmedova | Contestant
Her passion for the craft earned her respect and recognition in her home country where she starred in numerous films and television shows. Sabina rose to fame in MTV's comedy "The Club," where she played a series regular role for six seasons. This led to her most acclaimed role to date, Lana, in "Diversant: The End of the War," which received a Golden Eagle in 2007.
Always eager to learn and grow as an artist, Sabina continued her studies at the Lee Strasberg Institute in Los Angeles. While studying, she participated in several theater productions, such as Shakespeare's "King Lear" (as Goneril) at the Marilyn Monroe Theatre and did a reading of Chekov's "Three Sisters" at the legendary Actors Studio for its famous creative director Al Pacino.
One of the most successful Russian comedies at the box office, "High Security Vacation" brought her not only a high professional recognition but also a lot of love from the audience.
Sabina recently starred in a Russian version of "Sex and the City" and can be next seen in the independent feature "Cloud Nine" where she is co-starring with Michael Madsen.
The year 2012 brought her a supporting role in the Italian drama "I Calcianti" which is due to be released in theaters in 2014. In 2012 Sabina received the N-Style Royal People Award for Actress of the Year.
The complexity of life and human beings always fascinated her. Besides acting Sabina also studied philosophy and psychology. She believes that acting is someway similar to the work of a humanitarian and that by touching people's hearts through artistry, she's making her little contribution.
