Meet this week's educational hero who's working hard to make ours a more colorful world.

Kiel Johnson
Portland, OR

As a volunteer intern, Kiel helped start the Beach Elementary School Bike Train where over 100 kids and parents biked to school together last May. Now he's organized the Portland Bike Train Conference to inspire others to do the same.

"Bike trains are about connecting kids with their communities, getting exercise before school, and showing them that bicycles are a practical way to get places. By showing kids this when they are young it has the potential to change their habits for the rest of their lives."
