Jenny Slate joined the cast of "Saturday Night Live" in the 2009-10 season from the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, the improv/sketch theater co-founded by "SNL" alumni Amy Poehler, where she performed her one-woman show "Dead Millionaire" to sold out crowds in the New York City and Los Angeles theaters.
Slate partnered with Gabe Liedman, and together they had their own weekly show at the Rififi, "Gabe & Jenny." Recently, she appeared in a Verizon TV advertisement, in which she and her co-workers shout at one another due to technical failure.
Slate previously appeared in "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon's" parody sketch, "7th Floor West;" and had recurring arcs on HBO's "Bored To Death" and the new Fox comedy series "Brothers."
Originally from Milton, Massachusetts, Slate graduated from Columbia University. Slate's birthday is March 25.
