Jason Sudeikis is in his seventh season as a "Saturday Night Live" cast member. He joined the show as a staff writer in the 2003-04 season.
Among the many roles he plays on the show, Sudeikis currently essays the role of Vice President Joe Biden and has gained praise for his recurring character - a Bluetooth-sporting, self-absorbed "A-hole" alongside Kristen Wiig. Sudeikis' other characters include the ESPN Classic sports commentator "Pete Twinkle,” the angry boom mic operator "Jeff,” hapless loudmouth "Ed Mahoney” and memorable impressions of Bret Michaels on "Rock of Love," and "American Idol's" Simon Cowell.
In addition to his work on "SNL," Sudeikis had a multi-episode guest-starring role as Tina Fey's love interest "Floyd" on NBC's award-winning comedy "30 Rock."
A native of Overland Park, Kansas, Sudeikis got his start at ComedySportz (now Comedy City) in Kansas City and made his way to Chicago where he performed with The Second City National Touring Company, Improv Olympic and The Annoyance Theater, the stomping grounds of "SNL" alums Tina Fey, Horatio Sanz and Rachel Dratch and Amy Poehler.
Sudeikis also performed with Boom Chicago in Amsterdam (as did fellow castmate Seth Meyers) and was a founding member of The Second City Las Vegas.
Sudeikis' upcoming feature films include "Going The Distance" with Drew Barrymore and Justin Long, "Horrible Bosses” alongside Jennifer Aniston, "Hall Pass” directed by the Farrelly brothers and starring Owen Wilson, and "The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea.” He was recently seen in the feature films "The Bounty Hunter" alongside Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler, "What Happens in Vegas" opposite Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher, and "Semi-Pro" with Will Ferrell. Other credits include "Meet Bill" alongside Aaron Eckhart, Jessica Alba and "SNL" castmate Kristen Wiig, "The Ten" and "Watching the Detectives," as well as "The Rocker" with Rainn Wilson, Will Arnett, Christina Applegate and castmate Fred Armisen.
In addition, Sudeikis is the voice of ultra-conservative talk radio host "Richard Bastion" in the massively popular videogame "Grand Theft Auto IV." He also lends his voice to Seth MacFarlane's animated sitcom, "The Cleveland Show.”
Sudeikis lives in New York City. His birthday is Sept 18.
