2012 Emmy Nominations!!

Posted July 19, 2012 8:15 AM

Emmy Nominations were announced this morning and we couldn't be happier with all our nominations!! To celebrate, here are some sketches that showcase the work of all our nominees. Enjoy! And congrats to all our friends on their noms!

Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series - Kristen Wiig
Rebecca LaRue was just one of the many moments from this past season that Kristen had us dying from laughter. Her nomination (her fourth in this category) is so well deserved.

Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series - Bill Hader
Hola! We miss Gov. Rick Perry so much. If impressions were the basis for Presidential elections, Perry would be in the Oval Office off this Hader impression... and our country would probably burn to the ground. So let's just be excited for Bill's Emmy nomination (his first for SNL) instead!

Guest Actress in a Comedy Series - Maya Rudolph

Guest Actress in a Comedy Series - Melissa McCarthy
It was such a fun week having Melissa around. No one rides a pony balloon quite like her.

Guest Actor in a Comedy Series - Jimmy Fallon

Outstanding Variety Series - Saturday Night Live
With all the hard work that goes into every episode across all the departments we're so excited that everyone at the show can share in this nomination.

Outstanding Directing for a Variety Series - Don Roy King

Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series - Saturday Night Live
Congrats to all our writers!!

Outstanding Art Direction for a Variety Series

Outstanding Hairstyling for a Variety Series
You guys have no idea how many amazing wigs our hair department cranks out in such a short amount of time. It's so many!

Outstanding Lighting Design for a Variety Series
Gotta just muss it up! And have lighting to showcase all the intricacies of mussing.

Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics - "I Can't Believe I'm Hosting" from Jason Segel's Monologue
This song was written by show writers Seth Meyers and John Mulaney and the show's music director, Eli Brueggemann and was performed amazingly by Jason Segel with some help from the Muppets.

Outstanding Technical Directing
And last, but not least, a congrats to all the guys that literally help get the show on the air every week. Congrats to all of SNL's nominees!!
