Live this Week with Jimmy Fallon and Michael Buble!!

Posted December 13, 2011 12:01 PM
Everyone in the office is abuzz, abuzz we tell you, over the return of Jimmy Fallon!! Sure, since he left in 2004, Jimmy has made the occasional pop-in and cameoed here and there, but now we get to spend the entire week with him. Just like old times! And speaking of old times, we thought we'd take a look back at some of our favorite Jimmy Fallon Weekend Update moments from his four seasons as anchor! So many great jokes, so many weird haircuts!

And what would a Jimmy Fallon Update look back be without the inclusion of the Song Parody through the Decades Montage! Guy has been around for awhile.

25 Memorable Moments from Shows Hosted by Musicians!

In honor of this week's host, Katy Perry, we here in the Backstage Blog thought we'd compile a list of some memorable moments from when musicians took center stage in 8H. In chronological order, here are some of those great moments:

Paul Simon 11/20/1976
Featuring cameos from musical guest George Harrison, SNL creator/exec producer Lorne Michaels and former cast member Chevy Chase, the Cold Open from Paul Simon's second time hosting is about as memorable as it can get. It even references the legendary SNL/Beatles bribe! So to get us started, from season 2, here's "Paul Simon's Monologue Worries."

Deborah Harry 2/14/1981
Blondie lead singer, Debbie Harry (then going by Deborah Harry) hosted SNL back in early 1981 as evidenced by basically everything happening in this sketch. It's so hard to look at those costumes and remember that everyone in that scene is playing, essentially, a "normal" human being!

Johnny Cash 4/17/1982
Obviously when you have Johnny Cash host, it's inevitable that a sketch featuring female cast members shaking their dandruff over him will be written. He's the man in black! It's just common sense.
