Beauty and the Beast, Daveheart and the 300 sketches made for a heavily costumed week.
This is the hair department. It's down the hall from the entrance into the studio. Cast members and writers seem to always be running at full speed in and out of this room. These people are amazing. Each wig is meticulously made by hand and thoroughly researched for accuracy. Much of it is done last minute.

Another busy week, doing the Thursday night special as well. Lady Gaga's
soundcheck was really interesting. For a while it was just her and piano. I
liked hearing the stripped down versions of her songs.

Hello! It's been a busy week, getting ready for the Thursday nights pecials and the season premiere. We have a few new writers and two new cast members, Nasim Pedrad and Jenny Slate. Both are so talented and sweet. Megan Fox was great as were U2 who played additional songs after the broadcast.
We haven't done that in a while. The concept was by Mary Ellen Matthews,who does all of the photos for the show. You know, the ones they show right after the commercials? She had this concept which was, picksomething you like to do and we'll have that be your location. A variation on that theme. I thought they came out great. Here are some pictures I took throughout the week.
