Seth Meyers

Seth Meyers is in his 13th season as a cast member, ninth season as head writer and eighth season as "Weekend Update" anchor. In 2011, Meyers won an Emmy for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics for host Justin Timberlake's musical monologue. Meyers has also garnered ten additional Emmy nominations for his work as a writer in television.

As "Weekend Update" co-anchor alongside Cecily Strong, Meyers charms audiences as he lampoons top news stories and entertains fan favorite guests. Before focusing his attention solely on "Update," Meyers was a regular player in sketches, performing numerous characters.

A graduate of Northwestern University, he studied and performed at ImprovOlympic before moving on to the Boom Chicago Theater in Amsterdam, Holland. His acclaimed show with partner Jill Benjamin, "Pick-ups and Hiccups," toured Europe and eventually caught the eye of "SNL."

In February 2014, Meyers will take over NBC's "Late Night" legacy as host of "Late Night with Seth Meyers." Meyers also executive produces and lends his voice to Hulu's animated superhero show "The Awesomes," which premiered August 2013. Meyers hosted the 2010 and 2011 ESPY Awards on ESPN and headlined the 2011 White House Correspondents' Association Dinner to rave reviews.

Meyers currently resides in New York City. His birthday is December 28.
