Robinson hails from Detroit, Michigan and began studying improv at The Second City Detroit during his senior year of high school. Upon moving to Chicago, he continued performing at The Second City on the Mainstage and in their National Touring Company. He has also performed at the iO Theater in Chicago and at the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal.

Robinson resides in New York City and his birthday is May 23.
