Tim Guinee | Ben Matheson

Tim Guinee stars as Ben Matheson, Charlie and Danny's father, who conceals a mysterious connection to the blackout in NBC's "Revolution." Guinee has appeared in over 200 roles on the stage, in television and in films. Some of his more recognized work includes characters in "Sweet Land" (Winner, Spirit Award: Best First Film), "Iron Man" and "Iron Man 2," "Personal Velocity," "Once Around," "How to Make an American Quilt," "Ladder 49" and "Courage Under Fire." He is currently filming "Promised Land" with Matt Damon and directed by Gus Van Sant, and can soon be seen in acclaimed director Rachid Bouchareb's "Just Like a Woman." He also plays the recurring role of Andrew Wiley on the televisions series "The Good Wife."

Guinee is also a fireman, beekeeper and tightrope walker.

Although his level of involvement is still a mystery, Ben used his knowledge of the impending Blackout to protect his family in the days that followed. A resourceful and protective father, Ben did his best to provide for Charlie and Danny after the death of their mother. But when the Militia finally arrived, asking questions about his brother Miles, it ignited a battle that not only cost him his life but also buried his secrets with him.
