Maite Schwartz stars as bartender and wannabe actress, Lisa, on NBC's newest drama series, "quarterlife." First made as an Internet series, "quarterlife" explores the lives of six creative twentysomethings trying to find their way in the world.
Schwartz is originally from Dallas, Texas. She graduated with honors from the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama, and has been featured on television in shows such as "C.S.I.," "Medium," "The Inside," and "Dexter," and has appeared in such independent films as "South of Pico" and "The House of Grimm."
Schwartz began her career performing with the Dallas Children's Theatre, both in professional productions and in the children's touring repertory company. While in Dallas she attended the Washington Performing Arts High School with other recent successful graduates such as Norah Jones, Edie Brickell, and Roy Hargrove.
Schwartz is also an accomplished chef, having attended the prestigious culinary program at Le Cordon Bleu. Her love of food and travel was cultivated while spending many summers in France, the home of her mother's family; she is fluent in French and an expert in French cooking. She currently resides in Los Angeles.
