Monica Potter stars as Kristina Braverman, Adam's wife and struggling mother of Haddie and Max. In real life, Potter is a mother of three and hopes to use the exposure from Parenthood to bring her views on parenting and family life to a wider audience.
In 2009, she starred in the series "Trust Me," while also appearing on the big screen in "The Last House on the Left," alongside Sara Paxton. In 2008, Potter starred in the comedy "Lower Learning," with Jason Biggs and Eva Longoria Parker.
Potter has appeared in several popular feature films with some of Hollywood's most celebrated actors. She was seen in "Con Air" with Nicolas Cage, and starring opposite Robin Williams in "Patch Adams." In 1999, she was pictured on the cover of Vanity Fair's annual Hollywood issue, where she was photographed in the company of rising stars such as Sarah Polley, Giovanni Ribisi and Adrien Brody.
In 2001, Potter co-starred with Freddie Prinze Jr. in the romantic comedy "Head Over Heels," and with Morgan Freeman in the suspenseful thriller "Along Came a Spider." Potter played the title role in "I'm with Lucy" alongside David Boreanz, and starred in the cult-favorite horror film "Saw." She returned to television in USA's original "Reversible Errors," and was nominated for a SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series for her work on "Boston Legal."
One of four daughters, Potter grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. At the age of 12, she started modeling and appearing in commercials before deciding to pursue acting. In 1994, she moved to Los Angeles and began her career on television in the daytime soap opera "The Young and the Restless" as Sharon Abbot.
Potter resides in Los Angeles.
