Daniella Alonso plays Dr. Landry de la Cruz on NBC's medical drama "The Night Shift." A fun-loving Texan, de la Cruz is the lone psychiatrist on the night shift.
A New York native, Alonso is probably best known for her role as Nora on the first season of J.J. Abrams' NBC series "Revolution."
Discovered by the Ford Modeling Agency in her late teens, Alonso quickly began booking jobs for teen magazines such as Seventeen, YM and Teen, which led to commercials for Clairol, Cover Girl, Clean and Clear, Target and Volkswagen.
Alonso was most recently seen as series regular Brenda Serrano on the drama series "My Generation" and has been recurring on "Rizzoli & Isles" as well as "Covert Affairs."
She also portrayed Carlotta on the critically acclaimed series "Friday Night Lights" and is well known for her role as Anna Taggaro on "One Tree Hill." Before that, she portrayed Pilar Domingo on the daytime drama "As the World Turns."
On the feature-film side, Alonso has appeared in Martin Lawrence's "Black Knight," the 2003 Sundance entry "Rhythm of the Saints," "The Last Romantic," "All You've Got," Snoop Dogg's "Hood of Horror" and "The Hills Have Eyes 2," written by Wes Craven. Most recently, she was seen in "The Collector."
Alonso currently lives in Los Angeles.
