Dec. 8: More patients are taking on the tough questions about having a game plan in the event of an untreatable illness. At Gunderson Lutheran Hospital in Lacrosse, Wis., nearly all the patients have a plan for life and death, and the hospital said its patients spend half as many days in the hospital in their last six months of life, compared to the national average.
