When an NBC program or campaign can be used as a catalyst to promote further exploration into an issue, NBC produces a study guide to complement it. Targeted primarily for classroom use, these guides use NBC programs as a springboard for educational classroom activities that help build students' writing, problem-solving and decision-making skills. These guides are sent to all public and private junior and senior high schools nationwide, as well as to legislators, social service agencies and other outlets. A Poster/Study Guide was produced in connection with Discovery Kids on NBC - NBC's Saturday morning block of educational and information shows for kids. Each week, NBC's award-winning "The More You Know" PSAs are incorporated into Discovery Kids on NBC programming. Speaking directly to teens, these messages focus on bullying, diversity, anti-smoking, and other relevant issues.

The Discovery Kids on NBC line-up includes the following shows: "Kenny the Shark," an animated series that chronicles the crazy life of a tough-talking tiger shark named Kenny; "Tutenstein," the animated account of a ten year old pharaoh that awakens in the present day; "Trading Spaces: Boys vs. Girls," from original producers of the TLC hit series; "Endurance"; "Scout's Safari," starring television newcomer Anastasia Baranova; and from Emmy nominated producer and director Henry Winkler, the sci-fi drama "Strange Days at Blake Holsey High."
