THE MORE YOU KNOW has featured over 250 stars.     Forty Emmy-award winning actors have starred in THE MORE YOU KNOW PSAs.     THE MORE YOU KNOW was honored with two National Education Association Awards for the Advancement of Learning Through Broadcasting. This honor marks the first time in the NEA's history that a television network ever won twice for the same effort.     Tom Brokaw kicked off THE MORE YOU KNOW campaign with an on-air spot in January 1989.     David Schwimmer, Wendie Malick, Brooke Shields and other NBC stars got reconnected with their former teachers after mentioning their names in a THE MORE YOU KNOW spot.     John Lithgow wrote, directed, produced and starred in his own THE MORE YOU KNOW PSA on arts education.     Frasier's dog Eddie is the only animal to star in his own THE MORE YOU KNOW PSA.     Two U.S. Presidents (Bush and Clinton) have starred in THE MORE YOU KNOW spots.     All of the members of the TODAY show family have been featured in their own TMYK PSAs. Topics include teacher recruitement, breast cancer, domestic abuse, volunteerism and reading.     Over 200 of NBC's affiliated stations across the country carry THE MORE YOU KNOW on some level, whether in their public affairs, news, or programming efforts.
