Wondering what's happened to past season's candidates? We caught up with some of them and here's what they had to say about their Apprentice experience.
BILL
Bill Rancic, the original "Apprentice" winner whose one-year contract expired on April 15, has received a one-year contract extension with The Trump Organization. In addition to Rancic's existing responsibilities overseeing the construction of Trump Tower in Chicago, his expanded duties will include strategic development of other Trump properties across the country and in Mexico. Trump also confirmed that Rancic would return to the boardroom during season four of "The Apprentice," filling in for George Ross and Carolyn Kepcher when they are on business trips.
"Bill has done an incredible job in the past year working for me," said Trump. "He's so talented that I thought he might want to go out on his own and make millions. We're lucky to have him back for another year and I can rest assured that my Chicago project is in the best of hands."
"I am so grateful for the opportunity that Mr. Trump has afforded me in the past year," said Rancic. "He has truly taken me under his wing and exposed me to his distinct and incredibly successful way of doing business. It will be a privilege to spend another year with him."
How did appearing on The Apprentice change your life and/or career plans?
Winning the Apprentice changed my life in ways I could never have imagined. It has been an amazing experience working for Donald Trump and I am very grateful for the whole opportunity.
What were the best and worst things about the experience?
The best parts of the experience were the opportunity to meet and to compete against other business people in challenging tasks. The worst part was the lack of sleep.
Who, if anyone, from the show do you keep in contact with?
I keep in contact with Sam, Bowie, Nick, and Katrina.
In your opinion, what three words best describe Donald Trump?
Smart. Driven. Likeable.
What are you up to now?
Currently, I am overseeing the construction of the new Trump Tower in Chicago. I am involved in meeting with the construction crews, architects and sales teams. I am learning a lot and working with some of the best in the business.
What advice can you offer to the new Apprentice candidates?
To the new Apprentice candidates I would say to follow your gut instincts, be yourself and get ready to work hard for the next few months. Oh, and try to have some fun!
