Wondering what's happened to last season's candidates? We caught up with some of them and here's what they had to say about their Apprentice experience.

SAM SOLOVEY

How did appearing on The Apprentice change your life and/or career plans?

I cannot quite articulate how the show has changed my life. When you strip away the instant recognition and paid appearances, I'm not sure if the show has changed my life at all. As far as career, that is a big question mark as I have recently stepped away from a full-time role at the company I co-founded five years ago. It is difficult to return to a mainstream work environment after having had this tremendous TV/Hollywood experience, which is why you see a large number of reality stars currently unemployed and addicted to the pseudo fame that surrounds them.

What were the best and worst things about the experience?

The best part was the moment Mark Burnett told me I would be on the show. At that moment, I felt a winner because I invested a tremendous amount of time and energy into distinguishing myself as a qualified candidate worthy of this unique opportunity. After hearing I would be a contestant, I returned to my hotel room and jumped up and down on the bed for ten minutes.

The worst part is that I am asked daily if Trump's hair is real and if I actually fell asleep on the job in the second episode.

Who, if anyone, from the show do you keep in contact with?

Heidi. And I occasionally speak to a few of the others.

In your opinion, what three words best describe Donald Trump?

Shrewd, impatient, and loyal. But it is tough to sum him up in three words, which is why The Apprentice is so successful.

What are you up to now?

I am performing as an auctioneer for charities and corporate fundraisers and still waiting for Donald Trump to offer me a job with his company.

What advice can you offer to the new Apprentice candidates?

Sleep well, eat three meals a day, and have sex with the other candidates. In the first season, none of us did any of the above and it led to a tense and dysfunctional environment.
