Omarosa's Predictions and Observations...for Season Two

Check back each week for Omarosa's commentary!

Episode 12

The final six candidates left are Andy, Ivana, Jennifer M., Kelly, Kevin and Sandy. Making it to the top six is quite an impressive feat. These candidates should be applauded. Realizing that each was extremely close to the ultimate prize, they had to develop individual strategies for success.

Ivana wanted to be Project Manager, (her past stints as project manager were horrific). Her teammates challenged her, knowing how important it was to serve as PM at this late stage of the game. The winning PM is awarded with exemption. Everyone wants exemption so that they can be guaranteed a spot in the final four.

The team drew names and Kelly was named PM. After this was resolved, Kevin, Ivana and Kelly conspired to align against Jen, who they saw as a big threat. Jen picked up on the conspiring and took note that she was now a big target.

In the morning, Trump evened out the teams with his old switch-a-roo… Apex sent Jennifer to team Mosaic. Trump brought in another heavyweight corporate executive from Pepsi. The team was informed that they would have to design a new Pepsi bottle for a drink called Pepsi Edge. The team with the most innovative design would win.

Project Manager Andy led his team during the initial stages of campaign development by brain storming. Sandy and Andy led the creative process and came up with the idea of a sphere. Jennifer suggested a bottle with two bulbous ends and a thinner middle that could more easily be gripped. In the end, Andy went with Jennifer's idea.

Apex came up with the idea to carve out the word Edge in the bottle and leave a hole in the letter D. The team pondered what they could put in the hole. Ivana came up with all types of bizarre ideas. Kelly did not approve of Ivana's ideas. When meeting with the designers, Kelly pushed for his "wow factor" - the hole in the D - in spite of resistance from the experts.

Mosaic found themselves burning the midnight oil to finish their project. Andy came up with the crazy idea to give the design experts hundred dollar cash incentives. This was a very demeaning move on his part. These folks are professionals who should not be insulted with chump change. In addition, Andy decided not to give the team food until things were completed. DUDE, WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?!

Apex showed up the next day to give their presentation. They were shocked when they walked into a room full of more than one hundred people. The team's presentation was simple but effective. They demonstrated the many possibilities of marketing angles for their bottle and left it to the pros to decide how to position it.

Mosaic presented immediately following Apex. Andy opened the presentation and gave an overview of their bottle. He then presented it to the audience and was met with disapproving looks. Sandy gave her spiel, but found herself stammering throughout her presentation.

David, the Pepsi executive, then encouraged feedback on the presentations. Most of the criticism was directed towards Mosaic for their goofy design. David dialed up Trump for the announcement of the winner. David informed Trump that Apex was the winner because of their innovative design.

Ivana woke up determined to get rid of her arch rival. She went to Andy's room to wake him and to set her evil plan in motion. She wanted to persuade him to get rid of Jennifer M. Andy in turn went to Jennifer and exposed Ivana's plan. Andy set out to align with Jennifer in the boardroom.

Once the Mosaic got into the boardroom, Trump wanted to know if the team stood behind their product. Andy said that he did. (Andy, here's a tip, don't hold on to a sinking ship!) Trump clearly hated the product, yet Andy stood firm. Why? Trump wasted no time bringing the team back into the boardroom after he, George and Carolyn conferred.

Trump wanted to know how Jennifer M. was able to keep flying under the radar, (kinda like Kwame from last season). Jennifer said that she always performed well (and aligned with the PM). Jennifer revealed that she and Andy conferred prior to the boardroom. This set Sandy off. She was LIVID!! She went after both Andy and Jennifer for their dishonesty and deception. Andy looked like a wimp sparring with a heavyweight champ. His weakness was exposed and Trump did not like it. Andy, Mr. Debate Champ, YOU'RE FIRED!
