Omarosa's Predictions and Observations...for Season Two

Check back each week for Omarosa's commentary!

Episode 5

Ding dong the witch is dead!! Isn't that a line from last season? Oooh yes, that's what they sang when I was fired too! Trump's decision to assign Pamela to team Apex was a recipe for disaster from the start. She was put in charge of a team that was suffering from P.M.S. - Poor Management Syndrome.

Trump said that he respected Pamela for her performance up 'till this point in the competition. That is quite an impressive compliment from Trump. (In season one, he developed a similar affinity for Amy, whom he moved from team Versacorp to team Protégé.)

With new leadership in place you would expect team Apex to thrive. Instead they collapsed. The difference between Mosaic and Apex is the way they react to each challenge. Team Mosaic rallied around their new project manager with one thing on their mind -- victory. Team Apex instantly launched an attack campaign on their PM.

The women of Apex had not earned respect from Trump, Carolyn, George or even themselves - yet they expected Pamela to show deference toward a team that has lost four in a row. I was pleased that Pamela was not afraid to take charge. She delegated tasks to each member of the team and provided the type of structure that this team was clearly lacking.

The men of Mosaic heated up the grill they selected to sell with a beef between Raj and Kelly. This was the first time that I vividly saw the alliances that have formed on the show. It is smart to build alliances in order to survive, but not wise to antagonize the team while doing this. This is what Kelly strategically did throughout this task. Raj was on the receiving end of Kelly's Machiavellian tactics.

When it came down to the presentation of the products, each team faced their own unique challenges. Raj was his team's pessimist and anticipated a loss. Stacy R. kind of reminded me of Tammy from season one. Tammy was always focused on everything except what it took to successfully win the task. I must commend Stacy R. for her legal thoroughness, but when you only have a limited amount of time and resources to complete such monumental tasks, it is always important to stay focused on the bottom line.

Maria did not turn out to be the best spokeswomen, but should be commended on how she stepped aside to allow Jennifer M. to take the lead in the presentation.

When it came time for DT to announce the winner, I was SHOCKED to learn that the women's team lost by just a meager $10. In this game, LUCK is a big factor and in this case, team Mosaic was just plain lucky!

During Mosaic's reward, Raj demonstrated why he is one of my favorite characters on the show. He has guts!! First, he had the courage to hit on Anna Kournikova; second, he daringly ran around the stadium in his undies; and last, he did so while dodging tennis balls.

Once again, the women's team came together to extract the individual that they collectively decided should be fired, instead of the person who actually deserved to be fired. In no way was Pamela the weakest link on this task. These women entered the boardroom under a false-hearted pretense and that is no way to do business (wink-wink). If they win from this point on, I will attribute their win to Pamela for giving them a much needed realignment.

Pamela overplayed her trump-card in the board room. The whole "we tied" litany was a weak response to DT's question of what caused Apex to be defeated. I must commend Stacy R. on how she defended herself in the boardroom. She and Maria combined with a one-two punch that led to Pamela's demise.
