Omarosa's Predictions and Observations...for Season Two
Check back each week for Omarosa's commentary!
Episode 2
Bradford, Bradford, Bradford...
What the HELL were you thinking????
Exemption is the "Trump Card" of this game and you squandered it!! Bradford's decision to wave his exemption will go down as the stupidest mistake in the history of reality television.
In last week's report I noted that Bradford made several critical errors that would not soon be forgotten. Well, that was an understatement! Bradford's decision reminds me of David's decision in Season One to "volunteer" to be one of the three to go into the first boardroom.
More than anything, Donald Trump despises stupidity. That includes stupid behaviors, stupid people, and stupid decisions as displayed by Bradford! The boardroom is no place to demonstrate this sort of cockiness. Nor is Trump the kind of guy that you want to test run new theories regarding teamwork and leadership on.
Moving On...
In my pre-season predictions I identified Ivana as a contestant with potential to win. After watching last night I am sad to report that she demonstrated a very weak leadership style. One important lesson from the Omarosa Apprentice Playbook - your leadership style will greatly determine your success in the game. Ivana chose to "lead by consensus"; unfortunately this style of leadership does not fare well when dealing with a team comprised of all type "A" personalities. Since she was mercifully spared in the boardroom, she will now have to work very hard throughout the remainder of her time in the game to gain the respect and confidence of her team mates as well as that of Trump and his advisors.
(As a strategic move, members of her team may decide to keep her around because of her weakness, in order to later offer her up in the finals where she would surely be fired. An example of this would be Heidi Bressler from Season One.)
I was particularly disappointed at Ivana's decision to scapegoat Stacie J. She did not take responsibility for her failures as a project manager. One of the first things that a good leader should do is to know how to navigate the city. A map of New York City is an essential in this game. As we saw last season, Ereka (a New Yorker) also misdirected her team during the lemonade task.
The men's team did a fantastic job on their task; I find it quite humorous that food became an issue with a contestant again. If you will recall, Heidi and I fought over food during the 9th task. Raj must have learned from us that you cannot function well unless you are fed at least ONE meal during the day.
Stacie J. has been identified as the pariah of the team. (I know a little something about this). She will have to work very hard to broker partnerships with her team mates in order to save herself from being put up by team Apex. This team has a clear agenda and that is to see Stacie J FIRED at the next boardroom.
On a side note I would like to commend Kelly for taking leadership and using an opportunity to make a difference while participating in this game. His request that Trump donate their full profit to the leukemia charity was very honorable.
