Omarosa's Predictions and Observations...for Season Two

Check back each week for Omarosa's commentary!

Episode 1

WOW, what a way to kick off the new season!! Men vs. Women with a new and exciting twist!! Both teams led by the opposite sex!

Donald Trump, that's brilliant!! This adds a new and interesting dynamic to the game.

For starters, the person who is selected/or volunteers has an awesome opportunity to demonstrate two qualities that Donald Trump is looking for in an executive: initiative/boldness and audacity. It takes guts to step up to the plate first!!

Pamela and Bradford both volunteered to serve as Project Managers for their prospective teams. This gave them a unique advantage in positioning themselves as strong contenders.

As with in Season One, the women's team won the first task. Although his team was victorious, Bradford made several critical errors that will not soon be forgotten by his all-female teammates. During their brainstorming session Bradford declared that his idea was the one that the team would adopt, in spite of the objections of his teammates. It was not until he got in front of the Mattel development team that he reconsidered his decision. Also his leadership style clearly irritated his team, which will make him an easy target if and when they go into the boardroom. It's very important to note that although a team may win, there are still internal conflicts that are festering. Bradford is however safe next week if his team should lose under a new rule implemented this season. Under this new rule, the Project Manager of the winning team is safe if in fact his or her team loses the next week. This creates a wonderful incentive for those contestants who are reluctant to take on the Project Manager role.

Pamela was the perfect fit for the first Project Manager of the men's team. She's tough, focused and decisive. However, she allowed the men to dominate the creative process, which led to them creating a dud for their toy project. I did not think that team Mosaic came up with a BIG enough idea. In these tasks there are no second chances. You have to go all out on the first try and hope for the best. In season one Donnie Deutsch instructed us to "swing for the fences"! That's what you have to do on each and every task to impress Trump, George and Carolyn. Otherwise you can fall flat on your face.

Pamela was very articulate in the boardroom, however she raised eyebrows when she did not quickly comprehend the new rule introduced by DT this season. Essentially, the new rule allows the Project Manager to take in either two or three people to be considered for firing as opposed to just two in the previous season.

This change will revolutionize the boardroom as we know it.

With more people in the boardroom fighting to survive there is sure to be mega drama each and every week! Pamela however did not understand the importance of this new rule which essentially increases or decreases the Project Manager's chances of being fired depending on who they decide to put up for firing. The advantage is that you take some of the pressure off of yourself as the Project Manager and get to point out faults in each of the candidate's performances. The disadvantage, which has yet to be seen, is that the three people that you pull into the boardroom could turn on you by ganging up on the Project Manager who could be defenseless in the face of tactics.

In terms of Rob's firing, I personally think that he was a scapegoat and was an easy target because he left himself open for attack. Throughout the task you have to demonstrate your contribution to the goal at hand, without being seen as overbearing to your teammates. Also, you have to illustrate to your Project Manager that you are a huge asset to your team. Rob appears to have shut down after his idea was not accepted by the group and pouted for the rest of the time. Even if he later tried to redeem himself by contributing in other ways, the team already sees him as vulnerable. In spite of that, I think Rob was an awesome participator and will share the unique distinction with my dear friend David from season one of being the first contestant to hear those dreaded words… YOU'RE FIRED!!!
