Heidi's Predictions and Observations...for Season Two

Check back each week for Heidi's commentary!

Episode 8

Where do I start this week? Do I comment on Donald's little dance move, Jennifer acting like an ice princess or Elizabeth getting crucified in the boardroom?

I loved when we worked with Donny Deutsch last season. We got criticized for our campaign, but anyone who knows Donny will realize that his ads are usually provocative and creative. This year, the ads were not about sex appeal, but about passion and heart. New York has gone through so much since 9/11 and while the message should be strong, it shouldn't frighten people either. New York has become such a strong city since September 11th and Mosaic's message not only captured that, but also showed how working for the NYPD brings such pride to not only the city but to the country as well. Elizabeth may have gotten fired this week, but at least she would not stand behind the military theme.

Apex:

Chris: Best line of the night. “It’s not a friggin’ tampon commercial". Last year, I said I would rather sell tampons than sell a piece of artwork. Omarosa claimed this made me the least classy person on the show. I could only imagine her thoughts about you, Chris. I guess we will see on her commentary what she thinks about you.

Raj: I am glad to see you had the bowtie on this week; however, it did not help you. Military themed advertising? I do not know what was more disturbing, your idea or seeing Donald do that little dance thing.

Jen: The only two things I remember about you this week are that you were constantly putting on lip gloss and you were vicious. I understand you did not like Elizabeth's leadership skills, but you should have stepped up to the plate instead of remaining in the background, doing nothing.

Kevin: Four words for you: YOU GIVE GOOD BOARDROOM. You have a temper and to be honest, I would have told you what you could do with that temper if you ever told ME to shut up :) As I stated before, you definitely have a presence and are not one to mess with.

Elizabeth: This was not your best episode, but to be honest, I commend you for standing behind what you believed in. You were against the military theme for obvious reasons, unfortunately you had a team that did not respect you and wanted you out. You are a very smart and capable woman and I am more than confident that this will make you stronger in the end.

Mosaic:

Andy: YEAH!! I am so happy you won as a project manager. You proved yourself to the team and more importantly to Donald Trump. You better get some rest though. You looked tired and the last thing you want to do is fall asleep on a task. No one can forget Sam falling asleep last year.

Maria: I have to say that at least you did your homework. Donny Deutsch ads usually have a bit of sex appeal to them and you wanted to incorporate it into the ad. I did, however, agree with Andy that this was more about a presentation coming from the heart and sexy could be inappropriate. You are opinionated and a tough cookie, but I think that will work to your benefit. At least I hope it does.

This is what bothers me about the second season: If they do not like a project manager, then they do not even care if they lose. Last year, both teams did anything to win regardless of the feelings we had for the project manager. One particular scene bothered me last night. Elizabeth said to her teammates that she did not want them to disperse and they needed to be together. They ignored her and went off anyway. I don’t give a damn what you think of your pm, but you should at least respect him/her and work together to win. Apex did not lose JUST because of Elizabeth. They lost because they decided to work against her not with her.

Next week: Stacie J., Rob, Jen C. and Bradford come back. I am so psyched to see Rob again and believe it or not, I actually miss the egotistical and cocky Bradford ;)
