Heidi's Predictions and Observations...for Season Two

Check back each week for Heidi's commentary!

Episode 5

WOW, I must say this was the best episode so far!  It was a close call and I give Pam a lot of credit for managing Apex.  I personally would rather manage a classroom full of preschoolers. Then again, there really is no difference.

So let's get to my critique.

May I ask out of all the products to sell why would one choose a sponge?  Call it what you want but at the end of the day it was a sponge.  I can buy five sponges for a dollar and with a little squirt of a cleaning product the spot comes out. Are consumers really buying a product called "It works"??

Too bad the Donald Trump dolls were not available.  Apex probably would have won.

MOSAIC

Raj:  You made the show tonight.  Not only because you ran around in your underwear on national television but because you actually tried to get a date with Anna.  I think if she was not with Enrique you might actually have had a chance;)

Kelly:  You were definitely the all star tonight.  If it were not for your persistence about price points your team would have lost.

Andy: What was with the construction hat?  I do not think you were in any danger of falling cee-ment (as Omarosa calls it).  Please do not wear it again unless you are actually on a construction site! It was weird.

Chris:  I think you did a great job tonight.  True, Kelly was very persistent on the price point but you obviously felt it was a good choice.  You are one of my favorites so I am glad that you are safe next week.  WHAT IS WITH THE NIPPLE RING?? Maybe if Raj had one he could have had a date with Anna ;)

John:  Are you ever going to answer the phone in the morning?? DAMN!!

Wes:  Were you there tonight?  Sorry, I know you sold the cooking grills but unfortunately you were next to John.

Mosaic, congrats! You guys did a great job. You may not have sold as much as Apex but because you had the higher price you won.  Mosaic just has positive energy.  You disagree about a situation and then move on.  You do not dwell on it or stamp your feet when things do not go your way.  That is what Apex does and I felt Pam's pain when she had to leave you.

APEX:

Stacy:  Why do the short people always get picked on?:)  I am not particularly fond of lawyers but you were asked to be one and then criticized for actually acting like an attorney.  I think Pam liked you she just is not fond of lawyers. Then again, who is??

Maria:  I would have been furious if I heard that on the speakerphone.  It was childish, unmotivating and unprofessional.  If your style was not appreciated then you should have been spoken to like an adult in a private manner.  You were in the boardroom but look at it this way from a woman who practically lived there!  You are getting more face time with Trump.  It is actually a benefit to be picked to go to the boardroom at times.  Each time you learn what to do and what NOT to do!

Sandy:  You really did not leave an impression on me tonight.  Set the decor...of QVC?  HUH? Am I missing something here?  You were selling sponges. I don't get it nor do I want to.

Jen M:  This is what I like about you.  You may not agree with what the PM says but you know when to keep your mouth shut. You do your job and forget all the BS that goes on around you.  The other girls shake their head, yell and get all upset.  You are smart to realize that the claws do not need to come out until the boardroom.  You know when to vent and when to keep quiet. I should take lessons from you:)

Ivana:  I have to agree with you.  I don't think you all should have been spoken to like you were in elementary school. In this show Apex has matured AT LEAST to a high school level.  There is still some backstabbing but the screaming, yelling and crying seems to have gone down a notch!

Pam:  You may have been a dictator and stern, but to be honest I thought you did a hell of a job. You knew Apex was a mess and you did your best to change that! I thought you were tough and did not listen at times. However, this was the first show where the girls weren't about to kill each other.  The problem is as a manager you need to motivate.   You should want your employees not to have to rely on you but at the same time they need to respect their pm.  The real problem is you were the one who was responsible for the price and that is why you lost.  Donald made the right decision tonight when he said, "you're fired."

I have to say that when all is said and done you did a great job being a pm on a team you never worked with.  Apex was a mess and you did your damn best to fix it.  I personally would not want you as a pm but then again I do not do well with taking orders!

I am going to call it a night.  Hopefully I will not have dreams of Raj running around in his underwear!
