What is your definition of success?
Success is easy to explain. Very simply, passion equals success. If we have passion for everything we do then by nature we win. If we have a deep love for our work then we can accomplish massive results and enjoy each step of the way. The same rings true for your personal life. With passion on both sides, both personally and professionally, if we can find a balance between the two, that's success.
Who do you admire both personally and professionally?
Professionally: I admire every single business owner and entrepreneur in this country. From the man selling hotdogs on the corner in NYC to the Doctor that runs his own hospital in Georgia, to Donald Trump who built a real estate empire from the ground up, it is these people, entrepreneurs, that I admire most in this world.
Personally: I admire my wife Lynne. She, like no
one else I know has a deep understanding and compassion
for what people are thinking and feeling. As a
nurse her profession brings with it seemingly
daily stories of personal hardship and tragedy
which are only outweighed by her sympathy and
compassion. I am truly humbled by her toughness,
positive attitude, and persistence to enjoy life.
What did you learn from the last season of The Apprentice?
From last year's show I learned one thing: In order to survive you need to fight for your life. Dancing around the issues and politeness don't work in the boardroom.
What has been your biggest challenge in the pursuit of your career goals?
Starting in my business at a very young age was a challenge. People have to put their faith in me to manage their investments, and often their life savings. As the years have passed my age is now one of my biggest assets. My credentials and experience are now such that when coupled with my "youthful ambition", create very effective and professional combination.
If you had a super power, what would it be and why?
If I had a super power it would be to see the stock pages of the Wall Street Journal one day early. That would truly be a super power that would give the X-Men a run for their money and make the Oracle from Omaha green with envy.
