What is your definition of success?

I wouldn't be here if money were not a huge factor in my definition of success. But you can't achieve success at any cost. Success is having everything you want -- a private jet, a beautiful home, exciting vacations - all while having the ability to sleep with yourself at night, knowing you've taken the high road whenever possible.

Who do admire both personally and professionally?

I'm not going to say "Donald Trump", because that's a kiss-ass answer. I'd have to say I admire people who've built something out of nothing, from the ground-up. I admire Oprah Winfrey (though I don't know her personally), Mary Kay Ash, Wayne Huizenga, Robert L. Johnson - all people who created empires from absolutely nothing. To me, that's the most impressive accomplishment.

What did you learn from the last season of The Apprentice?

I learned to watch out for falling plaster, and not to stare at Trump's hair.

What has been your biggest challenge in the pursuit of your career goals?

I think my biggest challenge has been being a woman and working in traditionally-male industries, such as investment banking, technology and real estate development. I've always thought that to be taken seriously, I had to be no-nonsense, all-business, very serious. What I've learned is that I can sometimes be perceived as too intimidating, especially to men in my industries, and that could be detrimental to my career. I'm working on toning down my "intimidation factor" and letting colleagues see a little more of my fun side. I think that striking a better balance will help me relate better to my colleagues and will help me achieve future career goals.
